1. Take a Look at our Adoptable Pets

We post photos and information on our Available Pets page as well as our Facebook page.  We do our best to update it daily, but if you have questions we're happy to answer them!

2. Visit our adoption events and remote adoption sites

You can visit some of our adoptable pets during our Adoption Events.  You can also visit the Halethorpe or Whitemarsh Petco stores anytime to visit our adoptable pets that reside in that store's adoption center. To schedule a supervised meet & greet please submit an adoption application and let us know your availability. COVID has restricted our partnership with Petco, but we hope to be back very soon!

3. Submit Your Adoption Application

We require an approved application before arranging a meet-and-greet with any of our cats.  You can fill out a paper application at the Halethorpe or Whitemarsh Petco stores any time. Paper applications are collected weekly from the store, or you can scan it and email directly to us.  For the fastest response please submit your application via our online form.  Application processing takes roughly 3-5 business days.  The availability of your references, vet, landlord, etc. often determine how quickly your application is processed.  Our adoption counselors work hard to make sure that every pet is matched with the best forever family. Let us know as many details as you can to help us find you the puuuurfect cat!!
** Please note, we do not adopt kittens before 12 weeks of age in order to allow for proper development and socialization.

4. Pay The Adoption Fee

Every adoptable pet has an adoption fee.  We rely on adoption fees and donations to continue our rescue mission.  We are a registered 501(c)3. As such, any donations over the adoption fee are tax deductible and always appreciated!!  All of our adoptable cats receive a vet exam, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, feline leukemia and FIV testing, and a lifetime microchip.  Any additional vet care needed to ensure the health and happiness of our cats is provided before they go to their fur-ever homes.

Cat Adoption Fees:

Adult Cat (over 1 year old)                                 -     $120.00 (one) / $190 (two)

Kittens (12 wks to 1 year old)                             -     $150 (one) / $240 (two)

5.  Welcome Your New Pet Into Your Home

We’re here to help you all the way. The adoption counselor will provide information to you regarding introducing a new pet into your home.  We strongly recommend starting off in a single room to allow your new pet a safe space to settle in. Most importantly, practice patience and if you have questions ask us! We will provide reading materials to help you and your new pet adjust to your home, and you can always check out our Resources for New Pet Parents page  While every pet is different, generally 2 to 4 weeks is needed for your new pet to really adjust and make your home their home.  Sometimes longer if you have other pets. Please remember this is a big adjustment!
